Memorandum of Agreement

Inviting Investment in a Social Enterprise

PREAMBLE

In 2012, South West Slopes Shooters, an autonomous subcommittee of Shooters Union NSW Inc., undertook to develop a sports shooting range on the south west slopes of NSW. This >1641 day (thus far) initiative is aimed to assist NSW sporting shooters to participate in the construction of a range to suit all disciplines and be available to ALL shooters regardless of club affiliation. The time is now.

The proposed project is for a shooting complex comprising of but not limited to:

  • a long arm range of  600 metre, with metallic targets, & proposed ‘primitive’ camping area for 2 day events. Muzzle velocity and muzzle energy limits will apply as per FAR regulations

  • magazine loading permissible if you desire to do so.

  • a pistol range of 44 Magnum template including IPSC and ICORE events & proposed ‘primitive’ camping area for weekend (2 day) events (38+ cal  if proposed events are approved)

  • Cowboy/Single action events and weekend matches.

  • a clay target range

  • metallic silhouette for rifle and pistol

  • archery events and training

  • allowance for ‘primitive’ camping and caravan area for multi day events, or just city getaways (for members only, not the public)

  • BBQ and socialising areas

  • availability to Army school cadets and Scout and other groups for orienteering and bivouac

  • availability to Trials Bike state events

  • possible running of livestock to assist with ongoing costs, council etc.

I. Purpose of the Agreement

This Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) sets out the terms by which SUNSW Inc. and the Contributor will work together to implement a result-based program to provide a sports shooting range within the NSW South West Slopes.

This agreement will be in effect from February 1st, 2017. Mike Crockford will be the key contact for SUNSW Inc. for this project. 0428 846 203 …………………………………………………………………………………………………..will be the key contact for the Contributor for this project.

Through this agreement, the Contributor agrees to provide SUNSW Inc. with a seed grant of $................. to assist with the implementation of a sports shooting range facility.

II. Roles and Responsibilities

SUNSW Inc. will provide the application of knowledge base, contractor management, permits, licences, fees and time required to progress the proposed range project to fruition as soon as practicable, given the constraints of delays from real estate, Firearms Registry, and shire council requirements,  among others.

SUNSW Inc. will provide Contributors with informational mailings of materials on the progress of the project via electronic media. Mailings may include simple or complex details, photographs, charts or other relevant publications.

The Contributor will provide $200 per unit up to a maximum of one thousand five hundred (1500) units for SUNSW Inc. to purchase a suitable site and effect the construction of a shooting range at a base line of requirements.   SUNSW Inc. will administer the seed grant of $200 per unit issued to each Contributor.

In return for the above, the Contributor agrees to provide seed capital at the rate of $200 per unit share in the project.

The Contributor will receive Fifteen (15) range fee passes, (@$20), for the $200 seed and be listed as a foundation range member, (unless a Corporate seed in which case the subject ‘corporation’ will receive advertising, naming rights and or competitions named it their favour for a term as determined by the committee and based on the scale of their seed contribution.) Corporations please enquire further.

IF, the Contributor is also a SWSS member, their SWSS membership fee will remain static for a minimum period of five (5) years.

The Contributor will support the range project by attending working bees as often as is possible under normal circumstances during both construction and operation of the range.

A financial report detailing how seed grant funds were utilized will be made available.

You, the Contributor, will effectively be the root cause of this range being constructed.

III. Payment Schedule

SUNSW Inc. will administer the seed grant of $200per unit received from the Contributor. The seed grant will be used to conduct a recognized action or requirement for the advancement of the range project. See the application form for the Direct Deposit banking details pertinent to this project. Direct deposit is the only method of payment and is free of commission and fees.

IV. Duration of the Agreement

This agreement will be in effect from 01 Feb 2017 until the full 1500 units are considered sold and the account balanced. Only then can the purchase phase and construction begin.

V. Signatures of Parties’ Principals

If the terms of this Memorandum of Agreement are acceptable, please sign and date this agreement application. Keep one copy for your records and return the other to SUNSW Inc. Once SUNSW Inc. has received the signed MOA and reconciled with the account, contact will be made to confirm the Contributor as a participant donor.
